“Cradle of the Land,” celebrates the diverse ecological and cultural landscapes of Turtle Island. Featuring five wooden cradle boards, the piece represents five regions: West Coast, East Coast, Prairies, Central, and Northern Canada, with a focus on Algonquin Territory. The cradleboard, historically used by Indigenous communities to carry and protect children, symbolizes the preservation of Indigenous teachings and cultural heritage across generations. The central cradleboard represents the journey of Chanie Wenjack and highlights themes of perseverance, cultural survival, and reconciliation. This mural was created in 2025 for Accenture.
